The juice was fermented and aged using a combination of French oak barrels and stainless steel tanks. This vintage marks our first release of a screw cap Sauvignon Blanc.

This 2006 O.F.S. Sauvignon Blanc offers refreshing rich tropical fruit layers and flavors of ripe pineapple, kiwi and guava. Aromas of fresh wild herb and lime with hints of ginger and white pepper make this a lovely wine for food pairing or to enjoy all by itself.

The 2006 Sauvignon Blanc offers a pungent nose of ripe tropical fruits overlaying fresh cut grass, honeydew melon and zesty lemon. The nicely weighted and textured palate explodes with fruit and leads into a lengthy finish of meyer lemon and lime. This is a powerful yet balanced and refreshing wine.

Perfectly vine ripened grapes were hand sorted and whole-cluster cold pressed. ...more Multiple yeast fermentation started in a tank with the temperature slowly lowered to 45 degrees. The final stage of fermentation was in neutral oak barrels in our cool cave. Fermentation took five months, producing a generous amount of glycerin, contributing to the unique sensations it arouses in the mouth.

2006 was an exceptional vintage, especially for early ripening varietals like Sauvignon Blanc. The spring was warm and the summer mild. Winter rains waited until the last grapes were harvested.

This wine truly provides an unrivaled complexity and an exceptional depth.
