2004 Merlot "Pasatiempo"
Sonoma Valley/Carneros-Sangiacomo Vineyard

This classic California Merlot combines the best of both worlds; the fully ripe fruit of the new world with the complexities and ageability of Bordeaux’s Right Bank.
Deep ... moreruby color and aromas of dark fruit, spice and pencil lead serve as a prelude to flavors of dark cherry, cola spice, and a hint of herb. Overlaying the delicious Merlot fruit component is the Medium + toast (think roasted espresso bean), caramel, vanilla and spice contribution of quality Radoux barrels.
Bright on the entry and well-integrated in terms of tannins, this bottle would lay down well over the next 6-8 years or pair beautifully with the lamb loin or rare duck breast on the table this very evening.
“Everything that new world Merlot should be, but too rarely is”.

2003 Cabernet Sauvignon/Merlot Blend "Miradero"
Sonoma Valley

With the release of this 2003 vintage, Miradero has evolved from the Merlot dominated model of the legendary 2001 (voted Best California Merlot-CA State Fair) to a more “Medoc” ... more style wine with a higher proportion of Cabernet Sauvignon. This classic Bordeaux blend combines the best of both old world and new. With a hefty 36% Merlot component, Miradero owes as much to the traditions and heritage of the Right Bank, such as St. Emilion, as it does to the more Cabernet-centric Left Bank but the rich black fruit and ripe, plush tannins speak of the climate and terroir of Sonoma.

The wine opens invitingly with a deep ruby color and aromas of summer blackberries with hints of vanillin and dark roasted espresso beans. Ample body in the mouth is supported by fine-grained, well integrated tannins while the flavors follow through with a dark fruit, black cherry and berry theme accented by notes of bittersweet cocoa and sweet spice and a long, lingering, harmonious finish.

While the fruit-forward ripeness and well-filled texture of this wine might lead to enjoyment this very evening, the richness and refined tannin structure would allow an additional 5-7 years of evolution in the

Sonoma/Carneros

Buttery in structure with ripe apple/pineapple fruit characteristics this Chardonnay also displays an intriguing hazlenut and toast quality from the newer oak. Richness and viscosi ... morety might suggest a "red wine drinkers white wine".

Winner of 8 Gold medals (the most award winning Chardonnay in the country for the 2006 competition season).

N/V Chocolate "La Bomba"
California

Our rich, port style wine is composed of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, fortified with brandy and (here's the not-so-Port-style part of the equation) infused with the flavors of da ... morerk chocolate. A classic combination, dark chocolate is often served with rich red wines; we've simply saved you all the trouble of having to consume the chocolate seperately by actually putting it in the bottle!

2004 Cabernet Sauvignon "La Vista"
Napa Valley-Stagecoach Vineyard

The legendary Stagecoach Vineyard rises to an elevation of 1700 feet above the eastern portion of Napa Valley’s Oakville district, stretching from the western side of Atlas Peak ... moreto the southern portion of Pritchard Hill. Cabernet Sauvignon grown on this site is prized for it’s intensity and complexity of flavor. Deep, saturated purple color is the introduction to this intense young wine. Black and red fruits, dark chocolate and baking spice with a dusting of fine tannins in a richly textured package suggest a good decade (or more) of cellaring, if one can resist the temptation to break out a bottle tonight.

2003 Cabernet Sauvignon "Las Pasiones"
Sonoma Valley-Mayacamas

The mountain vineyards that parented this elegant Cabernet have everything going for them; stunning vistas, rocky soils and southern exposure. The Color is bright and garnet. Sonoma County

The Blend:
100% Chardonnay
100% Barrel Fermented, 11 months French Oak (15% new) Cooperage
50% Malolactic fermentation

The Wine: The l ... moreatest edition of the popular Las Patolitas Chardonnay continues to emphasize fruit over oak. Bright aromas of pear, citrus and peach are touched by a hint of spice. In the mouth delicious tree fruits, such as honeycrisp apple and pear emerge with a hint of the vanillin, toast and pie spice derived from good French Oak. The texture is smooth with a generous mouthfeel and crisp finish. Whether served as an aperitif or with flavorful poultry, pork or seafoods, this Chardonnay is a pleasure to drink.

Rosé
Rate this wine

2007 Dry Rosé
Napa Valley

This classic Rosé is produced in the traditional French saignée method, in which some of the juice of the red varietals is drawn away from the grape skins relatively quickly, pic ... moreking up a moderate amount of pigment and very little tannin. While the juice that remains on the skins will become a deeper, richer red wine, what has been siphoned off is fermented to near dryness at low temperatures in anaerobic stainless steel tanks, retaining the fresh fruit character of the varietals in a crisp, thirst quenching package.
Much like the refreshing, dry, Cabernet Franc based rosés of Anjou, France, this wine offers an enticing pale pink to salmon color, aromas of summer fruits (strawberry & melon) and a crisp, clean entry. The flavors encompass the fruit bowl, including raspberry and cherry with a touch of the Syrah spice component.

Served with the grilled Salmon on the patio or just as a Summer quaff all by itself, this delicious Rosé will be a revelation to those that still think pink inherently means sweet!
