2005 Iowa Hill Red California
A new release from WAV, Iowa Hill is a unique blend of grapes grown at the Amorosa Estate in Lodi.
Raspberry, blueberry and spice abound from the glass. Moderate bodie ... mored and supple in finish this is a great wine to enjoy with any spring and summer fare. It is a great wine before, during and after the meat comes off the barbeque.

Zinfandel
|
2005 Old Vine Zinfandel Lodi
We are extremely pleased to announce the release of our “Old Vine Zinfandelâ€. The vines for this luscious wine were planted in 1944 to the east of Lodi. Being during the war ye ... morears, these vineyards were all planted by ladies working long hours in the vineyards. Fermented in small lots, the new wine was racked to two single fill Limousin barrels. These are the barrels used for our 03 Reserve Cab. The roundness of the wood adds to the ripe silky texture of the wine. Raspberry, blueberry and chocolate abound from the glass. Full bodied and luxurious through to the finish this is a great wine to enjoy at any time you please. I expect this wine to age gracefully for 3 to 5 years.

2005 Redbird Canyon Red California
After last years resounding success, our Redbird Canyon Red is again a unique blend of Pinotage and Petite Sirah. All are grown on the estate of Vino Con Brio at the Amorosa Vineya ... morerd.
Pinotage is a grape developed in South Africa in the 1920’s. A cross between Pinot Noir and Cinsault (aka Hermitage) it was an effort to bring the characteristics of Pinot Noir to a variety that could be grown in a warmer climate. Rarely grown outside of South Africa the variety has remained in some obscurity. Vino Con Brio has the largest planting of Pinotage outside of South Africa at mere 8 acres.
From the first enticing aromas you can tell that this is not Cab or Merlot or any other familiar variety. Exotic spice (allspice and cinnamon), black pepper and hints of chocolate provide an entrance to the full jammy flavors. Rich and full-bodied the wine is very supple and finishes with lingering blackberry and sweet oak. Tasting great right now this wine will add to any rich cuisine, wild game or BBQ fare and should be age gracefully for another three years.

Port
|
2005 Port Amador County
Our 2005 Port shows the complex aromas and smooth textures that have become that
benchmark of California Ports. Abundant aromas of spice, blueberries, orange peel,
pl ... moreums and chocolate all interplay. The rich texture carries the flavors to a long lingering
finish. While Tim Spencer liked to pair his ports with frozen Snickers bars, I think that
you should enjoy Wofford Acres Port anyway you please.
