Arrowood wines are produced using grapes exclusively from Sonoma County in order to utilize and intensify the broad array of flavors that the vineyards here provide. We do this with a "non-interventional" approach, doing as little as possible to the wine - enhancing what Mother Nature provides with the judicious use of oak aging and layering of flavors based upon the terroir of a given vineyard. Sonoma County's agricultural bounty has given us all the tools; we hope you will enjoy how we make use of them in hand-crafting Arrowood wines. | Glen Ellen, CA Phone: (707) 935-2600 Website: http://www.arrowoodvineyards.com Appellation: Sonoma Coast Tasting Room: Please visit us from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. We offer a variety of winery tours by appointment, please call 1-800-938-5170 to make reservations. 2002 Cabernet Sauvignon Sonoma County
This wine is a mouthful of Cabernet Sauvignon—a big, bold California Cabernet—a stellar production! Cedar, cassis, cherry and cigar box with nuances of saddle leather rise out of t ... morehe glass, tantalizing your senses. On the palate, concentrated flavors of ripe black fruits, cassis and cherry fill the mouth, with solid tannins giving it backbone. Cassis and cherry linger on in the long, structured finish. In using our non-interventional approach to winemaking, this wine was neither fined or filtered in order to preserve its vibrant varietal character.

2002 Cabernet Sauvignon Réserve Spéciale Sonoma County
Big, bold and beautiful! Our 2002 Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon is an outstanding California Cab from start to finish. In 2002, when the harvested grapes went through our press, Richa ... morerd Arrowood noted the juice's intense black fruit flavors and "unbelievable" aromatics and colors. He foresaw a blockbuster year for this fabulous vintage…he was right on the money.
The majority of fruit for our 2002 Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon was grown on hillside vineyards in the Sonoma Valley; a region known to yield some of the most concentrated and balanced Cabernet Sauvignon in Sonoma County. After aging lots separately in seasoned French oak barrels and a small amount of American oak barrels for 23 months, we selected the only finest for our Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon to blend and return to French oak barrels for another five months of aging.
The resultant wine is a perfect vision of violet with purple hues and tones of brick-red around the edges. It shows certain richness and there is no shortage of complexity. Rich aromatics of black cherry, cassis and leather introduce your palate to a symphony of flavor profiles with black fruit in the forefront of undertones and overto
