Siduri Winery Pinot Noir |
2006 Sta. Rita Hills Pinot Noir Sta. Rita Hills
There is truly something magical about these two fantastic vineyards. On their own they certainly produce two of our most distinctive and highly reviewed wines. And when blended together the wine that is produced, this wine - the 2006 Siduri Sta. Rita Hills Pinot Noir - produces something altogether different than the vineyards separately. The 2006 Siduri Sta. Rita Hills Pinot Noir is a blend of 66% Cargasacchi Vineyard Pinot Noir and 34% Clos Pepe fruit. The wine was fermented in a combination of tanks and oneton bins using a significant percentage of whole clusters (this is particularly true on the Cargasacchi part of the blend). Aged in 50% new French oak for 10 months, the wine was ultimately bottled without fining or filtration in August of 2007. |
