As the wine opens up, there are flavors of red berries, strawberries and floral notes. This is a complex, pretty wine that could easily be mistaken for a Morey St. Denis in a blind tasting. The finish is long and velvety. The 2006 Muirfield is a wine that is rich in texture, but not heavy-handed. It is drinking well now, but should continue to develop layers over the next 2-5 years.
