“Mathilde” makes her debut with the 2006 release. This Pinot Noir from the Russian River embodies all of the elegance and fluidity expected from that appellation. Gentle red fruit aromas, violets, Russian River sand and toasted caramel from the French Oak barrels surround this wine with a mystery that make another sip impossible to resist. Flavors of raspberries, tea, flint and superfine tannins combine to lengthen the profile. This wine is focused and fine in texture with a lingering finish of sweet spice. “Mathilde” will pair beautifully with Roast Duck or Grilled Pork Tenderloin with Fresh Herbs.
