Each year, these grapes are ﬁrst blended and then fermented, pressed and aged in French oak barrels together to allow their complex, intense ﬂavors to marry. After two years in oak, we blend in a small amount of the very best wines from the vintage to complete this unique proprietary blend. We selected 5.75% Merlot, 4.25% Cabernet Sauvignon and 3% Petit Verdot, all from the McCoy vineyard, as our ﬁnishing wines for this yearâ€™s blend. Our Anthem is a unique twist on the traditional Cabernet Sauvignon- and Merlot-based Meritage blend, presenting instead the spicy tobacco and cedar notes that are typical of Petit Verdot and the exotic perfume and juicy, luscious mouthfeel of Malbec.
