"MacGregor " is a Scottish name. The name "Windemere" hails from a small town in Scotland where the MacGregor clan originated. Although long since destroyed by numerous battles, the ancestral village of Windemere lingers forever in the hearts and souls of those still proudly bearing the MacGregor name.
Our newest release has been one of our barrel favorites. This zinfandel spent 24 months in American and European Oak and was seasoned with 5% petite sirah. It has a dark purple color and is wonderfully smooth and fruity with the characteristic zinfandel spice.
