Mer Soleil Chardonnay is made in a complex, barrel-fermented style reminiscent of the white wines of Burgundy but with the generous, sun-ripened flavors of California. Charlie Wagner II, Mer Soleilâ€™s winemaker, attributes the wineâ€™s unique flavor profile both to the soils and climate of the vineyards where the grapes are grown and to winemaking choices aimed at enhancing the multiple aromas and flavors of the Chardonnay these vineyards produce.
