2006 Leaping Lizard Chardonnay

Our Chardonnay exhibits fresh aromas of spiced apple and lemongrass. These aromas are mirrored on the palate with flavors of citrus and tart apple. On the palate, the wine is bright with a slight minerality on the mid-palate. Approximately 25% of the wine was barrel fermented in a mix of new and old oak barrels and aged in oak for a period of seven months. The oak gives the wine a lovely round mouthfeel and contributes the toasty, vanillin characters on the finish.
