Coronado Port Zinfandel

Sweet, thick and rich - very good dessert wine, or to sip while enjoying a fine cigar! American oaked for 15 months. Port is made by adding wine distillate/brandy to partially fermented wine. The alcohol halts yeast fermentation, leaving a high sugar content in the wine, yet allowing infusion of fruits and tannins from the grapes. Oak aging rounds and softens this luxurious mix. Zinfandel grown in Rancho Cucamonga, California, wine made in Escondido.
