This wine certainly ranks among the most powerful, rich and balanced Cabernets that we have made. It is both elegant and solidly proportioned. This very aromatic and beautiful wine calls upon aromas of black currant, lead pencil, coco, and well-integrated vanilla notes. It is rich and silky, with sweet ripe tannins and a solid core that begs for some bottle age.
The flavors are consistent with the nose having deep red and black fruit flavors, well-integrated oak, great balance and refinement. There is a fine persistence of flavor that is long lasting. It is delicious now but will gain complexity and finesse with time. Expected maturity 2008 through 2015.
