2005 Sorridente

Sorridente means smile in Italian, and it is our hope that this delicious blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Aglianico will make your day a little brighter and cause you to smile. The 2005 Sorridente is a big wine that has great aging potential. The deep purple hue is consistent with the blackberry, plum nose. There are notes of cocoa powder and rose petal and a definitive "Italianesque" bouquet that makes itself more apparent after the wine opens in the glass. It is an excellent pair with substantial dishes such as rack of lamb, veal shank and aged, hard cheeses. Enjoy at joyous occasions both grand and humble.
