2001 Cabernet Sauvignon
Stuhlmuller Vineyard

Dense purple in color, this vineyard designated Cabernet Sauvignon offers a distinct aroma of boysenberry fruit, which is characteristic of the Stuhlmuller Vineyard. Wild blackberry, cassis and black plum commingle with the boysenberry on the palate as pleasing notes of bittersweet chocolate dance with nuances of toast, vanilla, and spices from the 100 percent French oak. Rich, chewy tannins and a concentrated extract add to the complexity of this wine creating a long, supple finish with fruit to the end. This vineyard is located in the southern part of Alexander Valley and consistently yields classic Cabernet Sauvignon with black fruit and great accessibility in the near term, while also aging gracefully.
