2002 Winemaker's Reserve Merlot
Alexander Valley

Dark brick-red in hue, this 2002 Alexander Valley Winemaker's Reserve Merlot is especially appealing with notes of blueberry, black plum and cola punctuated by ethereal aromatics of bay laurel, cedar chest and complex brown baking spices. With the first sip, plum, cassis and blackberry fruit evoke subtle undertones of toast, mint and brown sugar that linger through the mid-palate. Brown spices including clove, nutmeg and cinnamon combine with exceptionally fine grained tannins to create a texturally long and lingering finish.
