I’ve been drinking Zinfandel for over 30 years, in one form or another, and I have never run across one like this. Big alcohol, yet velvety smooth. It has hints of blackberry, strawberry and a touch of chocolate. This is the best I’ve had. Not that I’m prejudiced, I grew it, but it is good. No burnt fruit here. It’s all about capturing the essence of Zinfandel, ripe fruit, picked at the right time, to make the best wine possible. While our name starts with an R and I’m sure the other Zinfandel “R’s” will be looking over their shoulders once they buy a bottle of this wine! Try the new “R” on the block!
