Our 2004 Diamond Mountain Cabernet possesses a dark ruby color with an exotically perfumed nose of violets, blackberries, creosote, smoke and licorice. The wine’s palate has rounded out considerably since its summer 2006 bottling revealing notes of crushed rocks, cassis, graphite, tar and black raspberries. the finish has turned long and sweet with time in the bottle. Like any concentrated hillside wine, patience in the cellar or many hours in a decanter will reveal a more evolved wine. given the ripeness of the vintage however, our 2004 drinks well now and should continue to improve for 5-10 years.
