We sourced our fruit from a well known producer located in St. Helena, Napa Valley. Originally planted almost 150 years ago, it was replanted in 1998. The well-drained, gravelly loam soil there helps create wines with a tremendous concentration of cassis, graphite, and other characteristics reminiscent of a great Graves. This wine has just been released and has yet to be reviewed. A true value; it's in a league with wines twice the price and is destined for cult cab status. Look for review in the June Wine Enthusiast Buyer's Guide (suggested retail $85, rated 86 - good value).
