2003 Syrah, Wildcat Mountain Vineyard
Carneros
Aromas of milk chocolate, dried blueberry, and just a hint of clove. Black pepper comes through on the palate, along with a solid core of brambly blackberry fruit. There’s a touch of stony minerality to the rich but tightly structured finish. Lovely now, but additional complexity should arise after several years in the cellar.
